Hurry, only a few good web 2.0 names are left!

Now that Socializr is out and we thankfully now have Blufr available, I thought it would be a great public service to list out 10 possible web 2.0 company names and what they could be used for:

1. Duffr - a social network for hack golfers everywhere.

2. WTFr - a place to simply ask WTF, maybe they can build in SMS capability too.

3. Halloweenr - kids everywhere can band together to coordinate the hottest new costume look. Bonus about this one is that it can change with the season and easily become santaclausr.

4. Idolator - oh wait, that one is taken already. Darn it all.

5. Pontificatr - a site for wordsmiths everywhere to talk about, uh, to learn about the latest and greatest, uh, words. Yeah.

6. Guzzlr - SUV fanatics site to commiserate about the crappy gas mileage they are getting. Complete with a classifieds section to sell your gigantic sized roadster.

7. scrabblr - the hottest board game on the planet gets itself the hottest web 2.0 social network. Maybe it includes playing online scrabble with people and watching ads and getting paid to do it!

8. bankr - YES! That’s right. Bankers rejoice, now there is a place that you can come and add other banker friends to your profile and talk about loans and interest rates. Yeeehaw.

9. soccr - naturally a place for soccer (futbol) fans around the world to hype up their favorite teams. It will have RSS feeds too.

10. myspacr - Fox Interactive’s forray into the space. Hey, they warned you that they would own web 2.0. Everyone else with a company name that is missing an “e” beware, FOX is out to get you.

  1. A friend of mine saw Eons not too long ago and decided to do one better — a social network for *really* old people called Codgr :)

  2. the next logical step in that chain is something like gravediggr.
